Spoken word by the spiritual poet

I attended my friends wedding on Saturday, February 15, 2020 as one of two best men in his wedding.  He asked me to write a thought to present for the occasion.

“In The Name of Love“

Anthony, I have been told, there is nothing new under the sun and that everything happens for a reason within its own season and its own time.  I have been told, you cannot hurry love, you cannot rush love, and you cannot microwave love.  You just have to wait, exercise patience, make haste slowly as you woo her and then she will come forth as pure gold in all her grace, grander and unspeakable splendor and glory.  As love happens within her own season and in her own time and that I know full well, and I can testify too.

Anthony, Judy is the reason, this is your season and this is your time.  As you have found love and she unapologetically loves you back with a faithful fidelity, fiery fervor and feverish kind of love that leaves you longing for more and more of her.  You are forever changed as she has touched you at the soul of your mind, soul of your body and soul of your soul.  Your outlook, your vision and your worldview have taken on new ears, new eyes and new life.  I see it in your smile, I hear it in your talk, and I see it in your walk.  So, it is no surprise that we gather here as a community in support, alliance and allegiance with this holy union, where God is the center of their peace, center of their joy and center of their love and sustainer of it all.

Therefore, we the family, we the people and we the community who loves you, stand with you and agree to be there for you and Judy– the darling of the dance and first lady in your life; we wish you many more years of holy matrimony filled with lasting love, life and laughter.  We say this all in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and in the name of love.
