This Is The Year Of New Beginning As This Is The Year of Jubilee

This thought was inspired by my church’s 50th year anniversary which will be celebrated on Saturday, September 17, 2016.

This Is The Year Of New Beginning As This Is The Year Of Jubilee

Elders and Pastors, laity and leaders and founders of God’s eternal ecclesia, we are privileged to assemble in this our Year of Jubilee by His all-powerful, indescribable, incomparable, uncontainable and amazing Son of the Most High–Jesus Messiah. He is the very image of the invisible God.  He is the ever true incarnate, incorruptible, Ancient Word and existential agency on earth of Almighty God.  He is the inexpressible, unapproachable radiant glory of our great God and King.  We inhale his life-giving, lifesaving and life-changing presence as he is our Lamp, Light and Leader of the world who was and is and is to come and there is no one else!  So, we stand with all creatures in creation, hosts in heaven and universe here below before His throne and exhale triumphant, exuberant, exalted praises to our Refuge, Rock and Righteous Redeemer–Immanuel, Yahweh, the Great I AM.  For He has done everything well.

Therefore, from the gates of thanksgiving to the courts of praise with great jubilation, we trumpet jubilee’s triumphant freedom cry.  For in this year of consecration, the Son of the Most High, Yeshua Messiah declares the house of Emmanuel free at last!  As we have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb and whomever the Son sets free is free indeed.  Let us then as the body of Christ, let go of our former will, let go of our former wants and let go of our former ways which so easily beset us.  Let us as the body of Christ, let go of our high and haughty ego, let go of our high and haughty goals and let go of our high and haughty places harbored in our hearts which makes us prone to wander into assemblies of apostasy.  Let us as the body of Christ, let go of our past passion and pride, let go of our past prerogative and perspective and let go of our past personhood and peoplehood that we might find new creation in the royal priesthood and presence of a holy God.  And let us as the body of Christ, let go of the secular, let go of the sinful and let go of the self-serving spirit of slavery and enter into His sacred and sublime season of refreshment and complete rest in Jubilee.

We, the body of Christ at Emmanuel in this Year of Jubilee by faith, take back our properties of the Most High from the affluence and influence of lawlessness and unrighteousness.  We declare, we are no longer slaves to the wages of unrighteousness.  We declare, we will not be ruled by sin as we are no longer under law but under the sufficiency of His strong grace.  We declare that our storage is emptied and cleansed of all weapons of unrighteousness and that all God’s property is filled with His statutes and ordinances, ready for warfare as weapons of righteousness in the army of the Lord.  We declare in this Year of Jubilee, the year of consecration that we will consecrate our hands, consecrate our feet, consecrate our ears, consecrate our voice, consecrate our eyes and consecrate our heart for the imperishable light to the nations–the gospel of salvation.

We hail the King of kings and Lord of lords!  We hail the Seed of Abraham, Son of David and Lion of Judah!  For we are his pride and he has kept us safe in the secret place of the Most High in the shadow of the Almighty, led us beside limpid waters and satiated our souls in pasturelands of plenty for the past fifty years by his amazing, marvelous, miraculous grace.  With great joy, we welcome His Holy Spirit into this broken place and broken space made whole by the Holy One as He leads us sunward from the ever-present age of evil into the light of His truth over the next fifty years.  Rejoice, for this is the year of new beginning as this is the Year of Jubilee.
