Spoken word by the spiritual poet

This is a word of encouragement which came to me in January, 2014 for all shepherds, pastors and preachers who still walk by faith in the strong grace of Amighty God in the year of our Lord, 2014 and beyond.

“Vict’ry is Promised Through Grace”

“Conquering now and still to conquer, rideth a King in His might; Leading the host of all the faithful into the midst of the fight; See them with courage advancing, clad in their brilliant array, shouting the Name of their Leader, hear them exultingly say: Not to the strong is the battle, not to the swift is the race, Yet to the true and the faithful vict’ry is promised through grace.”

To all our true Shepherds, Preachers and Pastors in our life and times, we speak the unapologetic life and unapproachable light of Christ into your lives as you brace forward in faith into the mountain of 2014.  We believe in the God of our Pastors and we believe that He has called you by the direction of the Holy Spirit to be the shepherds, curators and nurturers of our souls in this communal place and communal space called Bethel.  We believe that God has called you out from among the righteous to repair the wall and to stand in the breach before Him on behalf of our community of faith.  We pray that if your heart is overwhelmed, if you’re in deep waters where there is no foothold and you long for deliverance from the searing fire of delayed answers that you will not be afraid to declare your need for righteous prayer.

We need you.  We stand with you and we agree with your calling to lead us into the uncharted foothills of 2014.  Like Joshua and Caleb, we believe that we are well able to do God’s bidding under your leadership into 2014 and beyond.  Therefore, as you climb the precipitous mountain of 2014, put on the full body armor of light with us that you may blind the works of darkness which comes to usurp, unseat and undo your labor of love for Christ.  As you know, each turn around the mountain will go higher and higher in Christ and the enemy will seek to thwart the plans of God’s vision and purpose designed specifically for your calling and implementation in our time of need.

So, we pray that your faith will not abate.  We pray that your hope will not abate.  And we pray that your love for the Lord and work for the good of the body will not abate.  We pray in the name of Jesus, that the amazing, wonderful, marvelous grace of God which pardons and cleans within will emancipate your souls from those sins which so easily distract, dissuade and beset us.  We pray that He will order your steps of faith by His Word that your feet will not become feeble, falter or fail you in your ascent to the summit of 2014.

Remember, we serve a King that is exalted above all blessings and praise.  Remember, we serve a King that is eternal and unconquerable, who rides in supreme glory and might as He leads the host of all the faithful into the mountain of 2014. He has overcome and conquered the mountain and as such, in Him, we, too, are overcomers.  So, we pray that you will pace yourselves in 2014 with the Spirit of Christ for “Not to the strong is the battle, not to the swift is the race,Yet to the true and the faithful vict’ry is promised through grace.”
